Ronnie O’Sullivan maintained the Shanghai Masters title for a third year following an 11-9 victory over Shaun Murphy.
Where he lost the first 3 frames, o’Sullivan, playing his first event as the World Championship in April, recovered by a beginning.
He reeled 53 and 54, 78 to tie the session in 5-5.
Murphy nosed back with breaks of 111 and 66, 61.
However, a brilliant 130 out of O’Sullivan started a streak of four frames that were winning.
Murphy kept his hopes alive but O’Sullivan finished to shoot the prize.
