Trainer Phil Kirby is now excited about watching his two secure celebrities Lady Buttons along with Best Ville Ben kick off their attempts on Charlie Hall Chase at Wetherby.
Top Ville Ben is already a winner over fences at the West Yorkshire circuit and is being aimed in the Charlie Hall Chase itself, with rounded off his novice campaign with an attempt to finish third behind Topofthegame and Lostintranslation .
The commendable Lady Buttons has won 12 races for Kirby and will be set to bidding for a fourth victory in Wetherby from the OLBG.com Mares’ Hurdle – a race she won last year and finished second in supporting La Bague Au Roi at 2017.
Kirby told Sky Sports Racing:”They are both doing lots of cantering. They have not done any work that was speedy but they wouldn’t be a thousand miles off. They seem very well and theyboth’ll be directed in the Charlie Hall meeting.
“Top Ville Ben will operate in the Charlie Hall and Lady Buttons will won at the Future race she won a year. Everything has gone perfectly to plan so much, we have only got to maintain it that way.
“Buttons can perform a very similar thing to continue year – she will start off at Wetherby, and perhaps go to Newbury and then go to Doncaster for all those Listed races along with the big prize-money. Where we finish up at the end of the season, we are going to see.
“For Top Ville, the plan was to go to the Charlie Hall to start with. We are going to see how he gets , but if he’s aggressive, he can always head to Newbury for your Hennessy (Ladbrokes Trophy).”
