Spurs’ excursion to Olympiakos has an interesting look to it. On paper, it’s simple to assume the guys of Mauricio Pochettino are going to have much for the Greek ensemble, but there are a number of variables as to why I am not convinced things will proceed to program.
Spurs have become a little inconsistent. In their last gamesspanning the conclusion of last season and the beginning of the –Spurs have lost six and drawn two. Yes, this year they’ve drawn at Arsenal and Manchester City, however, the defeat against Newcastle at back in August does reveal they are threatening to revert back in their selves of a few years ago.
Additional despite reaching the final of last year’s contest, Spurs started appallingly, making one point from their first 3 matches prior to a recovery. A Bad start is unlikely to price them too dearly because of Red Star Belgrade also being existing at Group B (although as Liverpool discovered This past Year, they’re hardly going to roll ), but Pochettino will hope it doesn’t need a different kick up the butt for them going this time round. ??
Olympiakos have won their last eight games in all competitions. Winning does strain winning while the standard is always lower than what Spurs face week in week out, and they’ll fancy their odds of an upset at the Karaiskakis Stadium — that will no doubt be an cauldron.
Spurs have revealed plenty of brilliance this year, but at moments that were early there has been a propensity to slip-up in recent months, and I believe this’ll be a much tougher test than anticipated.
And so, I’m backing a chance — priced at 19/20.
