Mario Ledesma discusses Argentina future after Rugby World Cup exit

Argentina trainer Mario Ledesma signaled he would love to remain in control of the team as he revealed to a disappointing World Cup campaign.
The Pumas failed to leave it from their pool for the first time since 2003, losing out to England and France in Pool C, but ended their tournament in Kumagaya on Wednesday with a 47-17 victory over the USA.
The outcome ensured the qualification of Argentina for its 2023 World Cup but that was of little consolation.
Asked about his future, Ledesma said:Many critics that I faced but it is truly important to have a good outlook later on.
Weve just played our match, we now had a red card in the England match, so we have to look back on many things. We can not just anticipate in 1 way.
As trainer I work on tactics and ability, control player feelings and possess cohesion in the team and bring in different forces from external as well.
We must consider every stage, therefore we need to go from our country and perform many matches to enhance and to view different sports to learn from them
Ledesma insisted eligibility for the tournaments next edition hadnt been motivation.
Motivation comes from within us, he said. We have worked hard for the previous week and ready in the last week.
You will find young gamers there may be some players not at the next World Cup, so its their final match and they are not concerned about eligibility to the World Cup in France.
US coach Gary Gold believes his side have improved despite finishing bottom of Pool C with no issues over the duration of the competition.
Im just disappointed in the result but really pleased with the effort from the guys, he said. I think even the biggest cynic might determine how hard the guys tried and how hard they worked.
We had an incredible chance to take advantage of the scoreboard and we didnt, unfortunately, score in that instant in time. Thats how rugby works. Its a game of momentum.
I feel that will come with the more time people spend together and the more time we play together. I really do believe we have improved match on sport .
