BIG MARLEY’S UFC FIGHT NIGHT 133 DRAFT KINGS FANTASY BREAKDOWN

This week, we have a 13-fight card at Boise, Idaho. It’s headlined by Junior Dos Santos vs Blagoy Ivanov, that will be making his UFC debut. DraftKings has smaller competitions for this card because it is only a Fight Night card using lesser known name, but there is still well over $100k to be obtained. I will be pursuing my fair share of that money and I trust you guys will be too. Here are a few plays I enjoy this weekend along with my fade of this week.
Cash Game play of the week — Alexander Volkanovski ($9,200)
I believe Volkanovski is the”safest” play on this particular card and his -300 betting line would agree with me. That’s where I will be starting my lineup this week and I’ll figure out the rest from there. Volkanovski averages 116.5 DK points during his first four UFC fights therefore he has a ton of upside as well. He could potential score over two other winners with this card combined. I do think he’s in drama for GPPs too for that reason, but he will likely be the heaviest owned fighter on the card and we don’t care about possession as much in cash games. I’d suggest paying for the costly price tag on your money games and then search for at least 3 others wins you’re confident in.
GPP drama of the week — Junior Dos Santos ($8,700)
JDS ought to be the way better striker inside this struggle and I believe this is where the battle will take place. He can get KO’d at the opening seconds of this fight and score 0 points, but this is what makes him a GPP drama instead of a money game play. With these two Heavyweights, we need to likely see a KO inside the 25-minues and that I feel the former champion, JDS, are the one to get it. He’s got great takedown defense so he should be able to keep this fight on the toes where he will have a 4-inch achieve benefit to use.
Underdog drama of the week — Niko Price ($7,900)
Niko is going to be my underdog drama of the week. The odds demonstrate that the fight ought to be fairly close and there’s a good chance he uses his wrestling to obtain the benefit. In 5 fights that he has not seen a decision yet, and there is a chance it remains that way if he receives Brown to the ground. Niko has some slick entrances in his arsenal and a lot of heart. On the feet, Brown probably has the advantage with his reach, but Price does have any sneaky power also, which can’t be overlooked. Overall, I like this as a GPP play.
Fade of this week — Alejandro Perez ($9,100)
Perez is the 2nd most expensive fighter on this card and he is only $100 less expensive than Volkanovski. In my view, Perez will need a end to really have a shot at paying off that pricey salary and that I do not wish to invest in that, personally. He has never landed greater than 1 takedown in a struggle and Wineland has excellent takedown defense, therefore we should see this battle take place on the toes. I think Perez needs to be the one to receive his hand raised in the end but I think it’s going to be through decision. If that’s the case then he could score ~60 points in a win, and at $9.1k that is not likely to win anybody a championship. I’ll be complete fading Perez this week and hoping he doesn’t get the end and he is my official fade of this week.
