Extend the life of your DSP3, DSP IP and Metal Eliminator Metaldetectorshub by upgrading to the latest APEX metal detection technology. Another thing that you may want to consider when you shop for metal detectors online is the frequency range. Easy to carry and waterproof, it is ideal for use in many environments. All baggage, brief cases, purses, back-packs, sacks, baby carriers, patient gifts, etc., will be inspected for weapons by the assistant at the metal detection post.

The Fisher F44 Metal Detector with 11 x 7″ DD Biaxial coil is the top machine in the latest F Series from Fisher Research Labs. The Whites Surfmaster PI Pro Dual Field metal detector combines turn-on-and-go ease and unbeatable depth and sensitivity. Spectra V3i is White’s finest turn-on-and-go metal detector using 3 frequency detection to find the oldest, deepest treasures. The GPX 5000 Gold Metal Detector sets the new benchmark in gold detecting technology.
Ideal for beachcombing and prospecting as well as finding objects in obscured locations such as long grass, this high grade portable metal detector is suitable for many applications. The child will be requested to empty their pockets and will be instructed to walk through the metal detector again. Patients and visitors and employees (whether off or on duty) entering through the Emergency Room entrance will be required to pass through the metal detector unless a life threatening medical emergency is in progress upon their arrival.
You can also use the same machine for all of your hunting as opposed to the PI where you should only really use it for beach hunting. The benefit to using a multi-frequency detector in salt water is that you can discriminate out unwanted targets.
An annual hunt hosted by members of Midstate Metal Detector Club out of Plover draws detectorists from all over the U.S., said club president Steve Miller, who’s been in the hobby since 1971. There are at least five clubs scattered throughout the state that were founded in the glory days of metal detecting and are still going strong.
Garrett ACE 400 Metal Detector with 8.5″ x 11″ PROformance DD Waterproof Submersible Search Coil, Coil Cover, ClearSound Headphones, Garrett Pro-Pointer II Pinpointer, ACE Environmental Cover Up for control box, Adjustable Arm Strap, Batteries and a Two-Year Warranty. Metal detector (ground search) allows you to find various valuable metal items, such as: coins, jewelry, gold, electronics, wall wirings, etc. The Minelab X-TERRA 505 Metal Detector is the starting point in the X-TERRA series range of metal detectors designed for treasure, coin relic detecting. The Minelab gold detectors are the best at ground balancing (ignoring ground noise) and being super sensitive to all sizes of gold at depth, while treasure detectors have advanced discrimination functions to differentiate between metals (i.e: dig the treasure, not the trash). The Fisher F70 Metal Detector operates on 13kHz frequency – good for coin shooting, relic hunting, and gold prospecting.
Iron deposits and mineralization will do its best to turn you against that expensive machine. Using maximum sensitivity means ALL metal signals will ring out, including minerals and trash. An elliptical coil works in just the same way, albeit covers less ground in one swing, but it can reach into small, awkward spaces. They’re best for deeply buried objects and cover a greater ground surface, but they are heavier which makes a big difference for long sessions and water work. This is because each machine behaves differently, and over time you’ll learn which settings are best for say coins, whereas another setting is better for dropped rings.
Depending on how old the child is, you might want to start with a detector that’s not super heavy. Most of these machines will be PI and should be used in areas where gold is known to be found. So if you plan to hunt beaches where there’s lots of trash, go with a multi-frequency. While either PI or multi-frequency will work, there are some pros and cons to each.
An entry level metal detector will pick up all of these metals, but if you want to find a certain type of object, say gold, you’re more likely to find it with a specialized detector that runs a high frequency. It has a large 7 x 10-inch search coil for better depth and discrimination and runs on an 8kHz frequency that you can adjust.
